Game Mechanics Overview

Overview

5xFaction's game mechanics are built on the Pentagon Nash Equilibrium — a five-way rock-paper-scissors system where each faction defeats two others and is defeated by two others.

Scoring System

Each faction's score is calculated as:

Where:

  • Target TVL = Total value locked in factions you defeat

  • Predator TVL = Total value locked in factions that defeat you

Example

If TVL distribution is:

  • SHADOW: $100,000

  • BLADE: $50,000

  • SPIRIT: $75,000

  • PILLAR: $80,000

  • WIND: $45,000

SHADOW Score = (Spirit + Wind) - (Blade + Pillar) = ($75,000 + $45,000) - ($50,000 + $80,000) = $120,000 - $130,000 = -$10,000


Epoch System

Each game cycle is called an Epoch and lasts 7 days:

Deposit Phase (2 Days)

  • Join a faction

  • Deposit USDC

  • Add more to existing stakes

  • Analyze TVL and scores

  • Adjust strategy

Lock Phase (5 Days)

  • No deposits allowed

  • No faction changes

  • Strategy is locked

  • Yield is generated from DeFi lending

  • Await results


Victory Condition

At the end of each epoch:

  1. Calculate all faction scores

  2. Faction with highest score wins

  3. Winning faction claims 100% of yield pot

  4. Yield distributed proportionally to winning faction members

  5. New epoch begins
